Cumulative Project Status Overview in Apac, Uganda

Citizen Action Platform’s (CAP) pilot project tracks problems with health care service delivery in the Apac district of Uganda. PTF and its partners, Anti-Corruption Coalition of Uganda (ACCU) and The Apac Anti-Corruption Commission (TAACC), will validate the issues reported and work with health authorities at the local and federal level to resolve them.

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can amplify the voice of citizens and empower them to confront corruption on a much larger scale.

Using SMS, social media, and geo-mapping tools, it can provide powerful information from the grass roots to policy makers and the media to begin to reform pervasive corrupt systems.

ICT enables local communities and civil society organizations to achieve far greater accountability in public services, transparency in government functions and participation in governance.
